Music News!! Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Yungblud & More

Written by Carmen Mueller

In the world of music, there are new announcements popping up all the time, so here’s a quick recap of what’s been going on.

Recently Ellie Goulding has dropped her newest single “Close To Me” with Diplo and Swae Lee. It’s been quite some time since her last record Delirium came out, so fingers crossed that we’re getting an album soon.

The women of beloved former girl group, Fifth Harmony, have been busy with their own projects. Normani has just released a project in collaboration with Calvin Harris. It consists of two songs “Checklist” which features WizKid and the track “Slow Down”. Likewise, Lauren Jauregui has just dropped her debut single “Expectations”. Jauregui has been featured on tracks by both Halsey and Steve Aoki, but this is her first release as a single artist. I’m excited to see which musical directions these two awesome women take.

Cardi B has also been busy, releasing her track “Money”. She has been causing a lot of buzz, whether that be with her back and forth with fellow rapper Nicki Minaj or after releasing her first full length album Invasion of Privacy. After the major success of her single “Bodak Yellow” I can only imagine that this single will be a hit as well.

Billie Eilish released the music video for her song “when the party’s over” and it’s right on brand for the girl who once held spiders in her mouth.

Also, Halsey’s music video for “Without Me” is set to come out the morning of October 29th!

Yungblud just released the music video for “Kill Somebody” which is all about anxiety and depression. The Brit is currently on tour but some dates (the Copenhagen, Moscow and Sweden shows) have been rescheduled to the end of February due to his broken ankle; the boy’s got to recover. If you were planning on going to any of these shows, keep your eyes peeled for the new dates.

As for tours, As It Is just announced their The Wounded World Tour Act 1 which begins in Osaka on November 2nd and goes until April 17th in Brussels. Set It Off will be co-headlining some of the shows while Enter Shikari will be a supporting act during the EU portion of the tour.

And finally, the lovely Ariana Grande has just announced the dates for her Sweetener Tour. The tour starts March 18th in New York and goes until June 18th at Madison Square Garden. After the great success of her album Sweetener many people have been anticipating the announcement! Tickets are going to be available starting November 1st!
